Using Computational Design for real time experience
The installation takes in camera information, desaturates it, and converts it into black and white, which is then broken down into pixels controlled by a panel. Each panel is given a rotation value between 0-90, based on the degree of darkness in the pixel, resulting in a mesmerizing visual display. This process of contrast mapping creates a dynamic and constantly evolving composition, as the viewer moves through the space and interacts with the installation. The art encourages engagement and exploration, as the viewer is invited to interact with the panels and observe the effect on the overall visual display.
